Our Dishwasher employees are members of our team who are responsible for cleaning kitchen areas, washing dishes, and performing other various task to assist the cooks and food service workers in the kitchen.
The duties for this position include:
Washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans, both by hand and with the aid of a dishwasher. Storing dishes appropriately. Being able to scour pots and pans, and clean and polish silverware. Must bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to service areas. Must be able to perform other tasks including scraping and sorting dishes, carrying linen to and from in-house laundry, and running small errands.
Added prep work may include but is not limited to:
washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables, portioning and wrapping foods, stocking refrigerators and salad bars, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen areas including all surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, receiving, unpacking, and storing supplies, removing kitchen garbage and trash, sweeping and mopping floors, and handling and storing cleaning products.
This position requires the candidate to be in good physical condition, in order to perform repeptitive and sometimes physically demanding tasks. These tasks may include but are not limited to: sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods of time; bending, crouching, lifting, and kneeling. The ideal candidate will be confident working in a fast paced environment. They will be energetic and will have a keen eye for detail. Although a daytime position, the candidate must also have a flexible availability including weekends and holidays.
